Your Hamptons Labor Day Weekend Guide

As summer drifts into its golden hour, there’s something undeniably magical about Labor Day in the Hamptons. The air feels softer, the sunsets a little more golden, and the energy equal parts celebratory and nostalgic fills every stretch of sand and seaside street. Whether you’re a local or just escaping the city for the long weekend, I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite ways to celebrate in true Hamptons style.

🥂 Sip & Savor

No Hamptons holiday weekend is complete without a glass of rosé. Head to Wölffer Estate Vineyard for a chilled bottle of Summer in a Bottle, best enjoyed al fresco among the vines. For a more elevated dining experience, book a table at Topping Rose House, where farm-to-table flavors shine in a setting that feels effortlessly chic.

🏖️ Beach Bliss

Pack your Meet Me In The Hamptons tote (mine is always stocked with a striped towel, SPF, The Hamptons Edit Magazine and a good book) and make the most of the late-summer waves. The Beach Club at Gurney’s is always a favorite, but for something a little more secluded, head to Mecox Beach for calmer vibes. Don’t forget to stay until the sky turns sherbet pink our Hamptons sunsets truly never disappoint.

🍴 Long Weekend Dining

From a lobster roll at Lunch in Amagansett to wood-fired pizza at Moby’s, the food scene is buzzing this weekend. If you’re craving something fresh and coastal, stop into Pierre’s or the iconic Cobb salad at Duryea’s overlooking the water.

🛍 Local Shopping

Stroll down Main Street in Southampton or Newtown Lane in East Hampton to Sag Harbor for the best boutiques. From LoveShackFancy’s romantic prints to Sage & Madison’s  dreamy home décor, you’ll find the perfect pieces to take summer with you into fall.

✨ Slow Down & Soak It Up

Labor Day isn’t just about saying goodbye to summer it’s about savoring the season’s sweetest moments. Take a morning walk along the shoreline, gather friends for a sunset dinner, or light a hydrangea-scented candle and let yourself simply be. The best part of the Hamptons is how it reminds us that beauty is found in slowing down.

🌸 Wishing you the dreamiest end-of-summer weekend out East. However you spend it whether at the beach, at a favorite restaurant, or simply lingering a little longer over your morning coffee I hope it fills you with gratitude for the season that was and excitement for the one that’s to come.
